Summer Break in Knoxville

School's Out! Now What!?

May 27, 20253 min read

Summer break is officially here, which means two months of keeping the kiddos busy and (hopefully) happy. When I was young, I remember constantly telling my mom, “I’m bored!” Now that I'm in my 20s, I can totally understand how exhausting that must’ve been for her.

While I’m not a parent myself, I still feel like I relate more to a 12-year-old than a grown-up sometimes. So I’ve put together a list of fun spots, local events, camps, and other outings to help you plan an exciting summer for the kids—or to give the babysitter some fresh ideas.

Whether you’re looking for full-day adventures or quick outings, this guide has you covered. Let’s make this summer one to remember!
