April 11, 20253 min read

For more than a century, Junior Achievement's purpose has been to empower and educate the next generation. Through dynamic, hands-on programs focused on financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship, Junior Achievement of East Tennessee equips young people with the essential skills and confidence they need to navigate real-world challenges. Junior Achievement not only enhances education but also inspires students to dream bigger and reach higher. The organization’s impact is deeply felt across the East Tennessee region—transforming futures, building stronger communities, and shaping tomorrow’s leaders today.

Nationally, Junior Achievement reaches more than 4.8 million students per year in 209,651 classrooms and after-school locations.

Aligned with state and national education standards, Junior Achievement’s curriculum supports schools and parents in preparing students for their future. Whether it’s understanding personal finance, exploring careers, or fostering entrepreneurial thinking, JA provides tools to make learning meaningful and impactful. Getting started is easy—educators simply choose a program, access ready-to-use resources, and build a schedule that fits their classroom needs, all to inspire and empower young minds.

Through comprehensive training and support, volunteers learn how to create fun, engaging learning environments that spark curiosity and excitement about the future. Their time and commitment are essential to helping students build confidence, develop real-world skills, and envision brighter futures.
